It's time for another sketch challenge - #CWF04

I find that sketch challenges make me think outside the box a little and I am always happy with the resulting card.

This week I made 2 versions

This one I made with a brand new stamp set called Blessings of Home due for release on the 4th January.

The second one I did with the Wonder & Whimsy Suite ......

I really love this one too.

Tic Tac Gift Boxes

 

Todays project is to make these amazing little tic tac gift boxes.  They are perfect for gift giving.

The cardstock measurement is 4 1/2"x 3".  Score @ 1/2"on the 3"side and then 1/2", 2", 2 1/2"and 4"on the 4 1/2"side.  The measurement for the two pieces of DSP is 1 3/8"x 2 3/8".

Make Your Own Paper Gift Bag

 It's the time of the year for gift giving and we are always looking for unique ways to give our gifts.  This gorgeous little bag was designed to hold a Gingerbread Cookie !!

It's pretty easy to make.  You will need a piece of Designer Series Paper (Good Quality) that measures 7 3/4"x 6 1/2".

On the 6 1/2"side score at 1/2"

On the 7 3/4"side score at 1 3/4", 2 1/4", 5 1/2"and 6"

Card Sketch - CWF02

Scrap Bin Sunday - Edition No 6

 

It’s Sunday so we all know what that means - it’s time for Scrap Bin Sunday !

Today’s project is a favourite.   I wanted to showcase all of those gorgeous little pieces of paper that I just couldn’t throw away.  This is what I came up with. I decided to make one in 3 of my favourite paper sets from the Annual Catalogue - Hand Penned, Simply Elegant and Expressions In Ink.  There is a link to the video on my channel below.

Fancy Z Fold Christmas Card

I have another Gingerbread & Peppermint Card today !  It's so cute.  

And it is super easy to make.  The bauble is already on the designer series paper and you can cut it out with the dies or just fussy cut with scissors.

The beautiful ribbon is a lovely finishing touch.

 The card base measures 4 1/2" x the length of the A4 sheet.  Score it on the long edge at 8 3/4" and 5 7/8".  The piece attached to the front of the card is as follows - Cardstock measures 5 1/2" x 3" and the DSP measures 5 1/4" x 2 3/4".  The inside of the card has 2 layers - The first measures 4" x 5 3/4" and the second is 3 3/4" x 5 1/2".  I have used all of the supplies listed below.

Floating Front Card

I had a lot of fun creating today's card !  I have no idea what it's official name is but I am calling it a Floating Front Card.  I have used the gorgeous Gingerbread & Peppermint paper along with the stamps and dies.

 

To begin with you will need a card base piece that measures 4 1/8" x 7 5/8" - Score on the 7 5/8" side at 1 3/4".  Cut a piece for the bottom that measures 4 1/8" x 1 3/4".  Cut two pieces of DSP for the top and bottom of the front that measures 4" x 1 5/8" 

For the floating front cut a piece of cardstock that measures 4 1/2" x 3 1/2".  Cut a piece of DSP to layer over it at 3 1/4" x 4 1/4".  

The cardstock for the sentiment backing strip measures 3 1/4" x 1" and the stamped piece measures 

2 1/2" x 1/2" 

The layer on the inside of the card measures 4 " x 5 3/4"

Two Festive Gift Boxes

My first creation is this lovely scalloped gift box.   I wanted to create something that I could use during the festive season as a festive favour.  It is designed to hold a Whittakers Coconut Slab Mini Bar.  Have you tried them ?  They are just amazing.

The box itself is super easy and adding the scalloped top just finishes it off beautifully.  I have used the Gingerbread and Peppermint Papers along with the matching dies.  I intend to place one of these at each place setting at our Christmas table this year.

The second project is a lovely little gift box designed to be hung from the Christmas tree and hold Perfume, Room Spray or even little bottles of spirits.  It is super easy to make.
